I agree that HoneyBee reads these files to validate my design. They stay on HoneyBee's server in the EU, are not shared with anyone unless I choose a provider later, and are deleted 180 days after my last visit or on request.

Country checks exist today for Bangladesh, Germany and Singapore. Everywhere else the engineering checks still run; the country-specific ones are reported as not assessed, never guessed.
